COVID-19 & INCREASED HOT TUB DEMAND

Are you interested in having hot water therapy in your life? If so, you are not alone. The market for hot-tubs nationwide is on fire. Due to COVID-19 mandates and policies, and even now, with the economy opening up, many people still aren't comfortable going out and don't expect to anytime soon. Canceled vacations and scrapped plans have left many folks with a desire to invest in their home and outdoor living areas, creating a staycation of their own. Not to mention that it is scientifically proven that hot water therapy reduces stress and anxiety. We can all use that.

With manufacturers under government COVID-19 distancing mandates, it has restricted the ability to be fully staffed and for facilities to maximize production. This, coupled with supply chain shortages, has made it impossible to keep up with such high & growing demand and has caused manufacturers to stretch their lead times anywhere from 2-6 months.

What is Browning Pools & Spas doing about it?

We started noticing a trend back in late March-early April, that buyers were ready to buy, and buy now. Right away, orders for additional hot tubs were placed, and in a matter of a few weeks, lead times tripled and then quadrupled.

We maintain a variety of floor models for wet test and display so you can get the touch and feel of our Marquis hot tubs. If you are interested in buying, the best option is to start with our online showroom. The online showroom includes our complete hot tub inventory, is updated regularly to show what has sold, and includes our "coming soon" hot tubs which are on order. Each hot tub also has a link to all of the specifications, like size, bather load, color, jets, etc. which will help you narrow down your preferences. Our Germantown showroom is currently closed to walk-in traffic, but private appointments are available.

One last thing that needs mentioning, hot tubs are safe. Here is what the CDC (Center for Disease Control) has to say "There is no evidence that the virus that causes COVID-19 can be spread to people through the water in pools, hot tubs, or water playgrounds. Additionally, proper operation of these aquatic venues and disinfection of the water (with chlorine or bromine) should inactivate the virus."

If you have questions about our hot tubs or want to schedule a private appointment, don't hesitate to contact us!
